Suspended Lives (2017)

A top commandant from the Syrian National army took the grave decision to defect and leave all his possessions behind to move to Jordan. Now with a price on his head, he discovers that as an ex army member he cannot get refugee status and therefore is denied of any financial support. The entire family is condemned to “inactivity” with days alternating between anxiety and boredom.
