My Mother’s Daughter

This is the story of a teenage girl, who was abducted and forced into marriage a few years ago by a suspected paedophile. She managed to escape and now lives in hiding with her mother, sisters and her two year old daughter. The film explores the triangle relationship between grand-mother, mother and daughter while waiting for their case to go to court.

This film was created as part of the Pakistan Stories programme, in partnership with Patakha Pictures and British Council.
